Your future starts the day you move on campus. Picture an apartment complex filled with all your best friends. Hegel Hall is a modern dormitory residence featuring all the amenities you want. Your spacious suite will include a furnished living room, private bathroom, and two bedrooms, each equipped with a vanity sink and mirror, individual closets, beds, study desks and chairs. Designed to facilitate social interaction and serious study, your comfortably appointed suite will be home to you and up to three other students. Even though your fellow students will come from a wide variety of backgrounds, they will all share the same commitment to academic excellence and intellectual growth. Like you, they are all pursuing the goal of a quality education. You'll make friends quickly in the coed community, and many of your roommates and classmates will continue to be your good friends for life. The curriculum at Grand Canyon University is not easy. It will require the highest levels of personal commitment, intellectual honesty and academic diligence. The coursework is rigorous and will require you to stretch your talents and perfect your skills. Rest assured, however, that this will not be an individual pursuit on your part. The professors at GCU are at your side every step of the way, helping you explore your academic gifts. With 15,000 students and a 12:1 student teacher ratio, your classes at GCU will be small, so you will enjoy the highest level of personal attention from professors who will know you by name.

So what happens when you're not studying for classes?

Surrounding your residence is a beautiful, park-like environment and an exciting campus lifestyle. This includes an active Student Union, complete with fitness center, copy center, health center, an outstanding full-service cafeteria, and our gourmet coffee shop, Latté Dah. Kick back in a big cushy chair and catch your favorite shows on the large-screen plasma TVs. Or take in movie nights and other events on "The Slab," an outdoor gathering area that invites you to enjoy Arizona's wonderful weather. Across from the Student Union you'll find a recreation pool where you and your friends can cool off, splash around, or just soak up the sun! When you're done at the pool stop by the Canyon Café where you can pick up a game of pool, grab a snack, and catch up with your friends. If you like sports, GCU is your playing field. From intramural athletics to pick-up games of Ultimate Frisbee on Mariposa Lawn, you experience life at its fullest. The GCU Antelopes (or "Lopes" as they're called) compete in a variety of Division II Intercollegiate sports, as well as Intramural Sports. GCU offers a complete exercise facility outfitted with the finest equipment, as well as tennis courts and two indoor basketball courts. Beyond the fun, there's faith. As a GCU student, you'll have the opportunity to be part of a student body that comes together to celebrate mutual values.
